Setting Tunnel Vision Fitness Goals Is Key to a Successful Fitness Journey

Anyone can decide to embark on a fitness journey; it takes more than just a decision to make it happen. It all begins with setting mindset goals.

You might be tempted to want to achieve your dream body in just a few weeks. But here’s the truth; A true fitness journey is a process and doesn’t happen overnight. So, while setting fitness goals, put your mindset over everything and know that it will take time and commitment.

Get this; don’t set unrealistic goals that will kill your motivation. Set smart goals that will keep you going every day and serve as a yardstick for measuring your progress.

Basically, the fitness goals you set should be:

  • Attainable

  • Relevant
  • Timely

You should have long-term goals and short-term goals. While you keep an eye on the long-term, you strive to hit your short-term goals.

Personally, I already set a goal to lose 10lbs and stay under 1400 calories this month  and I’m still on track. Here are the main dishes I’ve planned to eat this month in a bid to achieve my goals:

  • Taco salad
  • Quesadillas

So, start small and keep increasing your efforts towards achieving your goals. Over time, you’ll be glad you set some goals and worked towards achieving these goals.
